Boots! New ones!

I bought my first ever pair of calf length boots. They are still boots made for "sturdy calves" and therefore stretchy. However they sit at that magical place where they don't cut me off and look rather good.

I wore them to work today with my black skater dress, coral scarf and um...my black compression tights....whoops couldn't find any of my opaques this morning....however they looked awesome with the boots.

Oh and by the way I get soooo many compliments when I wear my Fuchsia boots with my black skinnies. Someone said they made her happy when she looked at them. Don't 'cha just love that?!

Catch Up Collage

1. Heatwave Blue satin ( slipper flats ) thongs purchased in Singapore. In the ION centre in Orchard Road. 
2. Charles & Keith Denim Peep toe flats. I wear these shoes constantly at the moment with my wine coloured skinnies and a floaty navy top. 
3. Charles & Keith Taupe Sandals. So many compliments. I really hope these guys open a store up in Australia. 
4. KMart $12 Black runners bought specifically to be trashed in the Warrior Dash. I no longer own them. Have moved onto the great ShoeBox in the sky ;)
5. New ASISCs. Same as Speedy Asiscs. Just found them for $80 on Catch of the Day instead of $140. 
6. Isabella Brown Lola Red. Bought to wear to Jen Reid's Road to Paris Fundraising Dinner. 
7. My new Miss S Fuchisa Boots that I saw on Shoe Sales one night. Had. To. Own. Them. Have zero regrets. ;)




So sorry for my blogging silence for the past while. I think I needed a little break but as you can see there was no sitting back and letting the passion wither and die ;)

My beautiful new Kosheen Shoes!

Catching up on some posts today so I thought I'd start with my Christmas Eve dinner - yes almost a month ago. But I guess all good things come to those who wait. ;)

We were sitting down to partake of this gorgeous ham when my Mum casually mentioned to me that a package had arrived for me either that day or was it a few days ago..she couldn't remember! GAH!


You may remember - or perhaps not it was a while ago - from this post here that I had entered a Facebook competition on the Kosheen Shoes page and won a pair of beautiful of Tiana Charcoal 's!


So here is the picture timeline of me stopping mid Christmas Eve dinner eating and opening my new babies which I wore to Christmas Day Church the next morning. As you do ;)

For reasons that will be revealed in an upcoming post - possibly in mid January - I am now convinced that all Kosheen shoes have quests stitched into their lining. 

And while it might seem fairly straight forward that I won them #twitter tells me that these shoes have a plan for me. 

Almost like the quest the Kosheen Blue's had.

Sooooo excited! Can't wait until their box arrives! Hope they get delivered before I leave on holidays!

Speaking of new shoes. I am also expecting a delivery in the next couple of days. 

A little while ago I won a  $50 Groupon voucher from a competition on Chasing Cait's blog and I waited until just the right deal popped into my inbox. 

Well at just after midnight the other night it did. 

A The Iconic voucher for $19 for $50 of items. 

So I bought 3 vouchers, paid an extra $7 for $150 worth of goodness! And then bought some as gifts. Thank you Caitlin! Seriously, check out her blog. She brought to my attention the real life fabulousness of the Wittner Amber's in Turquoise & inspired the post I've got the Tiffany Blues, Shellac & how to be confident with colour blocking. 

I've got some Therapy Jagger wedges coming my way in the next few days. Hurrah!

My signature shoes revealed

Around the beginning of November @KosheenShoes found and followed me on Twitter. Never having heard or seen them before I didn't check them out until about a week later. 


Then a series of tweets followed. 

Then followed  a bunch of excited tweets, me showing a few friends and workmates the shoes. All were affirmative that they were more than worth the money.

I could hear their whisper getting louder. 

...and louder still. More friends and online buddies encouraged me.

The whisper became a loud insistent voice. Constant.  Until the day before the "Anniversary of my 29th Birthday " arrived......

My Mum even said they were "me" and yes perhaps worth the money. 

I shot off an email to the website and asked where I could get these beauties from. 

An email arrived in my inbox within minutes. Only two stores in Sydney and a few online places. So I checked two of them out. One store had only one pair in an 8. The other one had a size 7 and a size 8.

Dilemma.

I am a size 7.5

So I quickly emailed the website again and asked for their advice. Meanwhile I saved both the 7 & 8 in my online shopping cart and waited. 

And waited.

And waited.

*sigh*

Ok. Not as speedy as before. What to do? What to do?

I called the store in Western Australia that I was buying them from and asked for their advice on whether these shoes run big or small. 

More proof that these shoes were meant to be mine? The sales girl that answered the phone was a 7.5 herself and said she would try them both on for me and check. 

She told me the 7's would be perfect for me and yes, they are indeed wonderful :)

They arrived yesterday. Now before I begin the reveal let me remind you of a few things I love...

# comfy platforms that don't make the ball of my foot burn in heat searing pain
