Shoe Fairy - Dreaming of Coral Colours

The Brief : Dress to Impress

Willing to spend : Up to $200 as long as they are comfortable and can be worn again

Depending on the colours of the dress coral and ivory? cream? off white ? ..Here are some suggestions.

Personally I love the Wittner Amber, Kosheen Orange and the Tony Bianco Black Suede with the black bow belt ( and maybe a black clutch )

Hope there is something in there that sparks your interest and gets you thinking :)

My signature shoes revealed

Around the beginning of November @KosheenShoes found and followed me on Twitter. Never having heard or seen them before I didn't check them out until about a week later.

Then a series of tweets followed.

Then followed  a bunch of excited tweets, me showing a few friends and workmates the shoes. All were affirmative that they were more than worth the money.

I could hear their whisper getting louder.

...and louder still. More friends and online buddies encouraged me.

The whisper became a loud insistent voice. Constant.  Until the day before the "Anniversary of my 29th Birthday " arrived......

My Mum even said they were "me" and yes perhaps worth the money.

I shot off an email to the website and asked where I could get these beauties from.

An email arrived in my inbox within minutes. Only two stores in Sydney and a few online places. So I checked two of them out. One store had only one pair in an 8. The other one had a size 7 and a size 8.

Dilemma.

I am a size 7.5

So I quickly emailed the website again and asked for their advice. Meanwhile I saved both the 7 & 8 in my online shopping cart and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

*sigh*

Ok. Not as speedy as before. What to do? What to do?

I called the store in Western Australia that I was buying them from and asked for their advice on whether these shoes run big or small.

More proof that these shoes were meant to be mine? The sales girl that answered the phone was a 7.5 herself and said she would try them both on for me and check.

She told me the 7's would be perfect for me and yes, they are indeed wonderful :)

Thank you Indulge Clothing. Fabulous customer service!

They arrived yesterday. Now before I begin the reveal let me remind you of a few things I love...

# colour blocking
# blue & aqua
# comfy platforms that don't make the ball of my foot burn in heat searing pain
# ankle straps that don't make my sturdy calves look like the ends of a sausage
and
#bows

These shoes are meant to be mine :)

Contrasting shades of blue & aqua :)

*sigh* Love.

Can't wait to show them off in person and feel like a supermodel ;)

A wee bit of shoe ed-u-ma-cay-tion

For those of you who have admitted to me - privately of course! - that you don't know your peep toe from your sling back. Well here's some edumacaytion for ya ;)

I love how they have included the Ruby Slipper. :)

PS. As you are aware they are not called Flip Flops - they are called Thongs here in Australia. Remember my Love of Rubber Thongs Top Five Tuesday Post that cleared that up? ;)

PPS Upon reflection I think I dislike the term "Flip Flops" so much because it reminds me of the word "Flip" and thus being deemed as "Flippy" which means a bit daft and vague and as we all know if you appreciate shoes there is no way you can be even slighty flippy or daft...thus my issue with the word.

PPPS Um. Yes. It is rather late here. Can you tell ? ;)

I HEART colour! In COLOUR Heaven!

This afternoon I accidentally went shopping.

Yes. One can accidentally go shopping. It happens. ;)

I went to my local Westfields not to purchase anything but to partake of their 3 hours free parking while I went and signed some paperwork for my parents down the road.

So of course I was going to be looking in a few store windows.

And how could I not with all that amazing, gorgeous, fabulous, smile inducing COLOUR staring me in the face?!

Can you tell I practically withered and died during the pastels and the weird throwback to the late 80's/early 90's floral era with the subdued tones everywhere?

Now don't get me wrong. I adore a nude shoe. I haven't yet told you the story of dragging my poor friend around every major shoe store & Department store in Jakarta, Indonesia that she knew for hours on the day that I was leaving to come back home, on the hunt for the perfect mid heel, peep toe, nude but not  a pinky nude but also not a camel nude but more of a biscuit nude heel.

In case you were wondering that was my exact requirements. And yes the shoes were found...eventually....but not after numerous stalking incidents by persistent shop assistants- lol ....and purchased after they whispered my name rather persistently ;)

So today it seemed everywhere I looked there was COLOUR - shoes, handbags, clothes! Love! Love! Love!

It was so hard to drag myself out of certain shoe stores. Siren is killing me with their COLOUR collection as is Tony Bianco. Gah!!!

My summer wardrobe is almost zero so clothes were a most excellent compromise. And I kept telling myself that Jakarta and Singapore beckon later this year - better for shoes than for clothes buying ;)

So I bought two tops in COLOUR one pink and one bright green.

The bright green I am also going to combine for a few things coming up with an turquoise shrug I also bought today and my yellow-somewhat-worse-for-wear-but-you-won't-notice-that-when-I-have-them-on thongs.
Susan Grae top $19.95 & Shrug $29.95

What do you think? Are you braving and embracing the COLOUR trend with arms wide open this Spring/Summer? Like me, are you hoping it will continue into
Autumn/Winter ?

Top Five Tuesday - I've got the Tiffany Blues

On a Tuesday...again!

Definition : Tiffany Blue is the colloquial name for the light medium robin egg blue color associated with Tiffany & Co., the New York City jewelry company. ( Wikipedia )

I do like Tiffany and Co. and whenever I am anywhere near the city store or when I was fortunate enough to be near one in New York last year I do look in their window for ever so long just mesmerised by the sparkles emitting from their lovely clean windows. ;)

I've never held one of their iconic robin egg blue boxes but I adore the colour in shoes.

So today's Top Five Tuesday is inspired by the pretty blue Tiffany & Co. blue box. Enjoy. :)

#5

LOL! No no no no no!!!! A bazillion times NO!
Did I scare you? I scare myself just looking back on that. Lol. :)

Here we go. The real Top Five :)

# 5 Available from Polyvore
# 4 Available from Betts Shoes Online
# 3,2,1 Available from Wittner

Do you have a robin egg blue favourite this week? Are you a heels or flats girl? Let me know by leaving a comment below or just let me know if you just liked this post.  :)

You can also send me a  Tweet if you think I've missed something.

Weekend Adventure - Fun Runs & Beach Picnics

Copyright www.shehascuteshoes.com
Yesterday I did a 4km fun run with Speedy Asics, caught my breath and headed about an hour down the coast ( a little late ) for a surprise birthday picnic for the most gorgeous, bravest, loveliest 23 year old I know. :)

I really should have taken pictures to show you but I did remember to take one quick car photo with my beach hat before I left.

If I'm looking a little pale it may be the lighting as it was a very warm, sunny day here in Sydney and down the South Coast but also because I haven't as yet learned to hydrate properly before, during and after fun runs and to stay out of the sun.....and you can probably guess what happened next.

Yes. A whopper of a migraine awaited me that afternoon. One where I had a Nanna Nap. Driving home was a little insane but as soon as I got home I popped some lovely migraine zappers and slept from 5.30pm to....

1.30am.

Yep.

I know!

Dinner at 2am is fun!

Despite this I was still able to go back to sleep at about 3.30am and get up for Church at around 7.30am.

Grey Kmart thongs and I had a really, really nice day at the picnic. We enjoyed just hanging out, chatting, talking birthday parties with Little Miss R and the eeville-ness of bluebottles with Master S.

Lots of weekend adventures to come as November & December are going to be chock full of them!

I also managed to get a few cans of Cherry Coke Zero which is an import here in Sydney so I'm just kicking back this Sunday afternoon just watching TV after making some homemade Sashimi with Sushi rice & Nori with my Cherry Coke Zero and some Strawberry Sorbet.

Pity tomorrow is Monday. I could live this weekend again! :)
